Fire detection, alarm and sprinkler systems are the first line of defense in protecting lives and property. These systems detect, alert and suppress flames before firefighters arrive. NFPA 25 is the baseline for inspection, testing, and maintenance of water-based systems. Übertas Design Consultants work with current and former firefighters, licensed fire alarm and sprinkler system designers, installers, and certified technicians to design, inspect and test your systems, keeping them always within NFPA guidelines.
Fire alarms are normally activated automatically by initiating devices such as smoke/heat detectors and manual pull stations. Systems also include notification devices such as ceiling or wall mounted strobes, horn-strobes and speaker strobes to sound an alarm followed by a voice evacuation message. Optionally, fire alarm systems come with remote annunciators for viewing alarm history, and silencing of alarms, giving facility managers and first responders the ability to control these activities from locations throughout the facility. Fire alarm systems can be integrated with mass notification systems to provide group specific alerts, notifications and instructions to staff and employees, on-site or off, by public address, telephone, cellular, email, text and private radio systems.
We also design fire sprinkler systems. A fire sprinkler system is an active fire protection method, consisting of a water supply system, providing adequate pressure and flow-rate through a water distribution piping system that covers your entire location.
